About Ana Jaks
Ana Jaks is a freelance illustrator from the Isle of Man. Now based in Bristol, England, her work centers on an intense love of shape, color, and pattern. Jaks’ work seeks to explore what she calls the tropical side of life — a permanent longing for sun, her love of nature, and the politics of protecting the natural world — inspired by her history of living in what she describes as small coastal towns “surrounded by sea and endless fields.” With degrees in both Illustration and Visual Communication, she is interested in the exploration of how illustrative work can be applied to various materials, with a client list that includes LUSH, Bombay Sapphire, John Lewis, and more.

About “Puppy Love”
"At the very beginning of lockdown, around March, I decided to set myself the challenge of creating an illustration every day. I've always shied away from drawing animals, so I started a miniseries. This little doggy is the first I drew." — Ana Jaks
