About The Wolf and I
The idea for my painting The Wolf and I came about after reading Phillip Pullman’s His Dark Materials series. I wanted to capture the feeling of being totally engrossed in a book in a cozy space of your own, completely undisturbed. The presence of the wolf is loosely based on the idea of daemons from the series, which are human souls that take the form of lifelong animal companions.
